Hi,

I always visit www.allmusic.com and they recently
revamped their website and I cannot get any further than
their home page. For some reason the search bar and
links do not work for me. The only suggestions allmusic
had was to turn off norton internet security, make sure
my computer accepts cookies, and to make the website
a "trusted" website. I did all those things and still
nothing. When Norton is turned off and I try the site I
get runtime errors that say "object expected". Can
anyone help me out? Thanks.

any site that asks you to turn off your virus/hacker
protection usually has a problem on their site that they
don't know how to fix..
try a different browser like firefox from mozilla.org and
see if you can get through.
otherwise say to heck with them for awhile.

I've forwarded your comments on to AllMusic to put with
mine - hopefully they'll start looking at it as being a
bigger issue.

For some reason the search bar and links do not work for me.

A possible explanation for that symptom is that a security setting
Submit nonencrypted form data
has been disabled. Changing your settings back to Default Level
makes that initially Prompt, so then the first time you submit form data
you get a warning message about that. If you allow the check box
not to see it again the option will be changed then to Enable.
I was unable to find any combination of responses which would cause
the option to be changed to Disable; so I suspect that you probably
disabled this (and probably other settings you may want) by some manual
intervention.

Go into the Security dialog Custom Level..., then back out
and click on Default Level. (e.g. doubleclick on the Internet zone
icon in an IE status bar to start that.) That will restore all default
settings for that zone.
