I keep getting this box popping up as if some program were crashing (the old
"illegal operation and will be shut down" thing), and these are the details:

IMPPMK32 caused an invalid page fault in
module KERNEL32.DLL at 015f:bff7a128.

I have no idea what this IMPPMK32 thing is. The box pops up every 30
seconds to 2 minutes or so, even when I don't have Internet Explorer
running. I ran Spybot, fixed problems and it's still occurring. I'm
running Windows 98. This only started happening today. If you can give me
any suggestions please email me...I don't have time to check this group very
often. Thanks.

Run MSCONFIG from the start/run applet.
Under StartUp tab is this process running?
Disable it if found.

Then
Go to http://www.spywareinfo.com/downloads.php#det
Download "Hijack This!" [freeware] or download direct (below):
http://www.merijn.org/files/hijackthis.zip

If you get a 404 error or Access denied, try:
http://216.180.252.218/~spywareinfo.com/downloads/tools/hijackthis.zip

Unzip, double-click "HijackThis.exe" and Press "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log"

Click: "Save Log" (generates "hijackthis.log")

Next, HijackThis | Config [button] | Misc Tools [button]
Click: Generate StartupList log [button] (generates "startuplist.txt")

Next, go to the below location:
