First check your speakers on a friends working PC to see if yours will work there
Next, make sure they are plugged in the correct speaker jack on the back of your PC
Finally, if they have AC adapters, make sure they are plugged in to an active power outlet
If none of the above work, go here
Rightclick your sound icon, bottom righthand corner of monitor and click "Open Volume Control"
and check if none of the settings are muted or sliders are all the way down, then slide them up to the middle
If that's OK, then in the same window, click Options/Properties and tick the Playback button/Apply/OK
