please help..

I had to do a system restore today on pc...
Before I inserted the disk and did away with everything
that once was on my pc, i sent all of my pics, (located
in my pic folder) to my yahoo email account...

Well, they are all coming up as short cuts, listed
as .ink files...Is there any way I can restore my pics
or are they gone forever???

There are programs of the type at the following
link that attempt to recover deleted files. I have
no idea if it will help you but it may be worth a try:

Restorer 2000
