Please Help

I have recently loaded MS Office 2003 to one of my computers and have run
in-to the following problem: to be able to run MS Word and be able to see
the
address book, I need to default to MS Outlook or I can-not see my address
book. I have become used to seeing my email in Outlook Express since it
allows me to be more creative in some of my emails ( I support non-profit
groups) -- Office 2003 has lots of extras that I can use, but not being able
to use my address book does create substantial problems - can anyone please
help?

Let me rephrase, is there a way that I can use the address book in MS Word
with out having to make MS Outlook as my active email, I normally use
Outlook Express?

As I don't use word to send e:mail I was curious as to how this might be
done so I went into word and then at the top I click tools\letters and
mailings\mail merge wizard and in there is an option to import your contact
list or to create a new one from scratch. As I don't use the limited and
boring Outlook I didn't have an address list to import from there but was
able to do it through the browse button and knowing where my address book
was. Good luck.

Hey Jim
You might need to export your adress book from your older version

My problem is not exporting my address book but, being able to see the
address book in Word, at this point the only way that I can see the address
book in word is by allowing Ms Office Outlook to become my default email
receiver.

What's wrong with that?
