please help

ok, i want to re install windows xp, it came with my dell
computer, and been having problems, and i just want to
delete xp and reinstall it,..how would i do this, i dont
know if i should literally delete windows xp and then
install, cause i dont know what happens when you delete
an operating system, but if someone could tell me the
correct way to redo xp, i would love the help
 
Consult the materials that came with your computer. They will have
instructions for using Dell's "recovery" method to reinstall the operating
system and applications to the "out of the box" state.
