Hi all,

I have always connected to my LAN computer using its "computername",
i.e, "\\SAT" in windows explorer and everything worked fine. It is
since i RE-INSTALLED windows xp service pack 1 on LAN computer (the
one having computername : SAT), that i can't connect using "\\SAT" .
Now i have to use the LAN IP address for this to work.
The computer i am connecting from is also windows xp pro service pack
2. Any clues to what has gone wrong???

I would be much grateful for helping me out on this.

Thanks in advance

Is NetBIOS over TCP/IP enabled for both computers?
If you ping SAT what happens?
If you reboot both computers and ping SAT do you get a reply (with the
correct IP address)?
