I'm a fairly new user and recently I've been having problems. When I click on
something on the desktop it says "specified path not found. On the toolbar on
the bottom, it just shows an hourglass. I've run anti-virus programs and it
didn't fix the problem.

When you click on 'something' or when you click on 'anything'?..

If the program has been 'moved' or deleted, one might get an icon left
behind for which this error message would pop up..

When I click on anything and some of these programs would never be moved
such as Internet Explorer and some college stuff. The only way I can even log
onto the internet is because I have AOLIM installed and it automatically pops
up.

Has your computer customarily been connected to a network such as a college
network?

I recently started an online college where I have to use Outlook Express, but
didn't have any problems for 2 weeks

If the computer has been connected to a college network then there may be
programs that are looking for the connection in order to run. I suggest you
work with the college IT office to determine how you can reconfigure the
computer to meet your needs.
