Polish Prince \(Szynka\)

I have no doubt that you have heard this
before. I have an Epson C84.
I always turn it off via the power button
between print jobs. In spite of this, the
heads are clogged. I have tried to unclog
it by running it through six successive cleanings
with poor results (Boy! Does that use up the ink).
Does anyone have any solutions?

Thank You in advance,
Larry

Larry,

Arthur Englich has some information on unstopping the jets but I have not
been able to get it to work. At the moment I am limited to printing black
only and at the next to highest quality setting and it is beginning to
streak. Soon I will be shopping for a new printer and you can be sure it
won't be from Epson.

E-mail Arthur Entlich at (e-mail address removed)
Ask him for a copy of his Epson head cleaning manual, that will explain ways to
recover from a clogged printhead.
Arthur does not of course guarantee that his methods will recover all
printheads,
but judging from the positive feedback I have seen in this ng and other forums
they do have a high success rate.

The Canon IP4000 is great.

Thank You Much Gentlemen.
What a great group of people!

It's too bad, when the Epson works, it does
such a great job on photo prints.

I think Canon will be my next printer.

Unless you are just itching to buy a new printer, don't give up until you
have emailed Arthur Entlich and tried his head cleaning methods. In the
email describe your problem. He really knows Epson printers. Saved one of
mine with his instructions and a few cents worth of readily available
supplies. I subsequently bought a Canon i960 and am very happy with it as
well.

It is a known fact that the C series Epson printers have had more than
the normal share of problems. You might be happier with a Canon IP4000.

Anyone would think you also sleep with your IP4000....

It is a known fact that some people like the printer they already own and
would be prepared to do a simple procedure in an effort to restore it to
good function. It is a known fact that Arthur Entlich's instructions have
cleared print head clogs in Epsons. It is a known fact that Canons (of
which I own one that I am very happy with) may have a shorter head life than
Epsons, but that Epsons may require some additional maintenance. It is a
known fact that Canons also can get print head clogs and need additional
maintenance beyond the owners' manual instructions. It is a known fact that
this series of Epson printers uses inks that are less prone to fading than
dye based inks, including all canon inks. It is a known fact that none of
us knows all the facts, and that includes Measekite.

Some people have found that beneficial. But if it was a know fact then
you would not have to tell anybody.

and they may not
but that Epsons may require some additional maintenance. It is a
known fact that Canons also can get print head clogs
mostly from shitty aftermarket ink

I've responded to your request by private mail in private mail.

Let me know who it goes.

If you get back to me Walter and let me know what you've tried so far
and so forth, I might be able to help further. It's quite rare that I
haven't been able to get a printer back to good printing health.

It happens on occasion...
