I can't find Msvbvm60.dll to download & update Windows,
I'm trying to add a software that needs this file. I have
Msvbvm50.dll on my puter right now.

Please read all information I'm going to direct you to
thoroughly before installing the file you're looking for.
First, get online. Then, click start, click on "Windows
Update"; if it's not there, click "all programs", (it
will be there), and click on it.
You'll come to the Microsoft Windows Update page.
Click on "Scan for Updates". If you've never done any,
you'll find there are a pile of critical ones that you
should do as soon as possible. I would do them all
before installing Msvbvm60.dll. First of all, you may
get that new file as a result of your updating Windows.
Secondly, the new file may not be compatible with your
current state of Windows, if not updated recently.
Anyhow, if you decide to go ahead with the file download,
or finish all updates and do a search of your files only
to find out that you still have the old file, then here's
how to find the new file.
At the top part of the page, you'll see some black
tabs; click on "search". Then when the next page comes
up, just type the file name(Msvbvm60.dll) in the box and
hit "Go". You'll come to a page with a list of brief
introductions to articles about subjects related to your
inquiry. I didn't read any of them thoroughly, but you
must. At least one of them referred to a problem with
incompatibility with something that caused problems and
also that the file couldn't be removed, I think. The 3rd
and 4th article seemed to have some specific info about
the file you require, and one of the 2 had a source to
download it. Again, I would do all your critical updates,
at least, before installing that file. Hope this helps,
just read everything you can. Good luck, Phil DuBois
