I just screwed up my co-worker's computer and am not sure
how to fix it. Here's what happened:
He had to use his boot cd to reboot his computer last
night. That elimintated all of his network settings. I
was putting him back on the network - I went to "My
Computer," "Computer Name," "Change." This is where I
had a problem, I accidently changed the domain to our
network (which would normally not be a problem, but he
has a laptop and we don't set our laptops up in that way).
I fixed that and put him into the workgroup instead.
Now I can't log on to his computer at all!
It doesn't recognize any user names or passwords. I just
don't know what the problem is. The way we had it set up
before was just like a normal Windows XP desktop. If you
didn't know better, you wouldn't realize that it was even
on a network. Now it comes up with the ctl alt dlt
screen and forces you to log on.
Please let me know if you have any suggestions.
