I have left this message twice before with no responses.
I'm really hoping for a reply this time. I have no more
ideas on how to resolve this issue.

I'm running W2k Pro with SP4. For the last several days,
whenever I bootup normally the desktop appears and
everything looks like its completing loading correctly
until I get a message tht lsass.exe has terminated
unexpectantly with status code 1073807364. Then the
system automaticaly restarts & the problem repeats itself.

There were 2 articles in Microsoft Support data base with
status codes SIMILAR to this, but those articles related
to vers using earlier service packs. The correction
suggestions offered in those articles were not effective
in this instance.

I can't think of any changes I made to the OS just prior
to the first occurence. Running scandisk at startup helps
occasionally, but not always. The only sure way I've
found to avoid this problem is to start W2k in Debug mode.

Does someone out there have any ideas re: a permanent
solution to this problem? Aside from just reloading the os?

A reason why you might not have received any replies
in the past is your choice of Subject. "Please help!" is
rather meaningless - it is unlikely to attract the
attention of those who might be able to help you.
"isass.exe causes persistent reboot" would be far more
meaningful.

I suggest you run sfc.exe (System File Checker). If this
does not help, repost with a proper Subject line - you
might attract the experts this time.
