i have 3 windows 2000 servers

the first dc is the dhcp server and pratically everthing else

2nd just file and print server

3rd is sql

what i would like to do is created a new dhcp scope
on the second sever for the new address scheme that we need to put into
place
stop the dc from being dhcp allocator of the old adress scheme i hope this
make sense as im very new to this
thanks

it shouldn't be too bad this one....

Install DHCP on the new server set up new scope (try and only use when no
clients will be requesting addresses) .....put some test systems to it to
see if it all allocates correactly then move the clients across..then give
the servers new fixed IP Addresses (Plus disable old DHCP Service!)on a
weekend/late night e.t.c. test all works and u should be fine.

Good Luck :)
Sorry for being a bit scarse with details let me know if you get stuck.

Chris.
