I sent back an Abit KV7 that did exactly what you are describing. It would turn on, the hard drive would spool up and everything would be normal until the point where it was meant to "BEEP" where it just did nothing but repeat the process of hard drive spool up etc etc..
It never posted.
Did you try pulling the CCMOS1 jumper on your motherboard to clear the BIOS? that sometimes helps, look in the manual if you dont know where it is.
hi Chris yeah some how i think you might be right (tryed the cmos but that did not work) well it looks like a new mother board but i realy dont undersand cos the comp did the same thing a few weeks ago so i took the stick off ddr out cleaned it put it back in and it worked, but this time no luck. so thanks for your help.
That would be my main guess BUT i'm no genius, it may well be something else. Try putting your ram in a different slot. Move it over one. Reseat all your components, like unplug then plug back in.
Try it then.
If that doesn't work then i would imagine it is the motherboard...
