Please help with converting from Sql to MS Access 2003

I need the following to be converted to msaccess 2003

ROW_NUMBER() OVER (PARTITION BY MyTable.id ORDER BY MyTable.date DESC) as seq_num

This should, i think do what I want it to do. That is given a table as follows

id date
1 2009-08-08
1 2009-08-07
1 2009-08-06
2 2009-08-08
2 2009-08-07
3 2009-08-08
3 2009-08-07
3 2009-08-06

I should get this as a result

id date seq
1 2009-08-08 1
1 2009-08-07 2
1 2009-08-06 3
2 2009-08-08 1
2 2009-08-07 2
3 2009-08-08 1
3 2009-08-07 2
3 2009-08-06 3
