Please help me!

When I boot up my desktop, it automatically tries to
connect to internet. This happens over and over again.

It's only a recent habit and I have searched through my
Microsoft Help files for assistance on configuring my
internet connection, without success.

Any thoughts?
Thanks, Tony

Some program could be trying to update itself automatically from the
Internet. Examples include Windows Update, Real Player, and antivirus
programs.

One way to find out what's doing the dialing is to install the free
ZoneAlarm firewall program. It will pop up an alert when a program
tries to connect to the Internet.
