PLEASE HELP Start Menu not appearing

Hello, i had a Windows 2000, i upgraded to Windows XP home edition COMPLETE
INSTALL. When i turned my computer on my start menu stopped appearing. It
appeared then disappered. I know its NOT on auto hide, someone please help.

Move your mouse to the taskbar sigle right click then left properties,
uncheck the auto-hide the taskbar option.

When you say complete, do you mean a clean install or upgrade? if upgrade
did you scan for spyware, viroses prior to upgrade?
