Please help! Question about Windows Mail.

Hello,

I have been forwarding fraudulent email as an attachment to eBay for awhile
now. The last one I sent to eBay I received this message back:

“To enable a more complete investigation of this situation, please email
me a full copy of the message you received including the full headers.
Headers are required as they allow me to trace the path of the email
from where it originated to your email address and determine the true
identity of the sender. Please make certain that you send the headers
from the original email and not from a follow-up emailâ€.

I emailed them back telling them I don’t know how to do their request. I
thought sending them the fraudulent email as an attachment would give them
all the information they needed. They emailed me back saying they are not
allowed to open the attachment because of security and gave me 2 links to go
to. I went to both links just to find neither of them had Windows Mail as a
choice to learn how to send what eBay is asking for. I have searched this
board for 2 days trying to find an answer with no luck. Can some please point
me to a link that can tell me how to send the information eBay is requesting?
I sure would appreciate the help.

Thank you for taking the time to read my question, I appreciate it.

Thanks again,
James

A quicker way is to use the keyboard:
Ctrl-F3 (displays the source code of the message complete with headers)
Ctrl-A (copy all)
Ctrl-V (paste into another document).

I've gotten very fast with that combination of keys. You can just hold the
Ctrl key down while hitting the other keys.

Hello Cal & Gary,

Thank you very much for replying to my question. I really appreciate the
help you both gave me. I have a bad memory so I am going to copy and paste
you're replies to WordPad so I have them. I probably will use both ways to
send the information to eBay because of my bad memory. I will forget the key
strokes and sometimes I will be too lazy to look them up so both ways are
good for me to know.

Thanks again to both of you. I hope you are enjoying the weekend and Happy
Memorial Day!

Take care, Jim

Hello Shawn,

Thank you for replying to my question, I appreciate it. Thanks for giving
me the email address and web site address for the FTC. If it will help to
stop spam I will start forwarding the emails to them too once I hear from
eBay that the email was fraudulent.

I hope you are having a great weekend and Happy Memorial Day!

Thanks again, James
