I am having some problems starting my Windows 2000 Prof
m/c. It may be the effect of recent MSBlaster work, but I
am not sure. When I start my PC, the desktop does show up;
but after few seconds the PC starts rebooting. *I am ready
to install Windows 2000 Prof again*, but when I run the
setup program, it says it cannot find the hard disk on my PC!

But when I start my PC in this state, it boots and shows
the desktop but reboots everytime. My PC is usually
connected to the Internet.. It had Service Pack 4 installed
before the problem started occuring.

Hope somebody can give some ideas to resolve this problem.

Mukul

Disconnect from the internet immediateley.
Try to boot in safe mode if you haven't got the time to open Taskmanager
when logged in. Look for the msblast.exe- or mspatch.exe-proces and kill it.
After that go to www.sophos.com and get the removaltool.
Then install ms03-026 from Microsoft.
