Hi I am trying to get Itunes music to the movie maker and all that comes up is:

The file C:\Users\michelle\Music\iTunes\iTunes Music\Jag Star\Mix\17
Ridiculous.m4a cannot be imported because the codec required to play the file
is not installed on your computer. If you have already tried to download and
install the codec, close and restart Windows Movie Maker, and then try to
import the file again.

I don't know what to do, help?

I cheked the support guide and all it says is:

If you get a message that says that your computer is missing a codec, you
are probably trying to play, burn, or sync a file that was compressed by
using a codec that Windows or the Player doesn't include by default. In many
cases, you can download and install the missing codec by clicking the Web
Help button in the error message dialog box.

there is no web help button! Please I really could use some help!

Did you ever find a solution to this? I am having the same problem and cannot
figure it out. Thanks

The files have to be converted to a compatible
format....wma or .wav would be best.

Have a look at the following article:

Movie Maker 2 - Importing Audio
http://www.papajohn.org/MM2-Importing-Audio.html
(look at the right column under PapaJohn Comments)

Maybe it would be worth a try to convert
the files to a compatible format like .wav
with the following free online converter.
