By default, the folder is supposed to be private and can't be accessed
without a password.
Something is wrong on the remote web. You need to contact your host to
properly set the permissions.

|I have the same basic problem. I'm using FP2003 to design, maintain and
| publish my website. I had several of my forms storing (confidential)
| information inside files located in the "_private" folder. That is, until
I
| realized that all I had to do is type "
www.myaddress.com/_private" from my
| browser and get a nice listing of all of the files located in that
directory.
| I was shocked to see that information that I had thought to be secure was
| right there in front of me and it could be seen by anyone who knew how to
get
| to it. I've tried this from two different computers in my house.
|
| I have since temporarty removed that form information and am relying on
the
| information to be forwarded via e-mail instead.
|
| What can I do to fix this problem?
