This is a repost because nobody answered last time.

I'm running Windows XP Home Version 2002 SP1 with me as administrator and
the rest of the family as restricted users. I have no problems surfing the
internet but the restricted accounts do have problems.

The most noticeable case is with the Google home page.
Search text can be typed into the box but pressing on the search buttin does
nothing
(there is nothing sent to the server). Similary, all URLs with a query
string (containing a question mark) do not work but the simple URLs on the
Google home page DO work.

Can somebody please explain and tell me how to fix this problem?

I've been through the malware removal procedures but to no avail.
Do I need to run all of them for each restricted user?

Why is it only restricted users who see this problem?

My wife won't let me upgrade to broadband until her "internet browsing" is
fixed.

Gary.

Gary,
Change permissions for one of the affected accounts (if necessary) so that
CWShredder, Ad-aware and Spybot can be run and give it a try. Malware *can*
affect some user accounts, without affecting all of them.

Two quick, easy first steps:
1. From Control Panel> Internet Options> Advanced> uncheck "Enable third
party
browser extensions." If that helps, the problem is being caused by another
program.
2. BHODemon 2.0: http://www.definitivesolutions.com/bhodemon.htm Identify
and disable BHOs easily and safely.
