PLEASE help me delete a file

I downloaded a video or a friend did not sure anyway I cant play or deleteit
when I try to play it, it reads: windows media player cannot play that file.
If the file is on another computer, verify that you are connected to the
network. If you type a path, verify that it's correct. If the problem
persists, the sever might not be available.

I also tryed to delete it too which is what I really want to do it reads:
cannot delete file. cannot read from the sourse file or disk

It is in my library 50 or more times PLEASE PLEASE tell me how I can delete
trhis
I also tryed delete media player and reloading it and it shows up

Start by checking to see if it is listed in Media Player's play list. If
yes, delete it from the playlist, then close Media Player and try deleting
the file again. If unsuccessful, go to the following website,
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm, scroll to line 39 and click
"Delete an Undeletable File in Windows XP."

Or you could just open a "command prompt" dos box from the start menu and
navigate to the file annd use the 'erase' command.
 
Thank you for your help!!! It worked out it is gone from my media now, it's
nice to know that there is help out there when needed! Again Thank you!!!!
