I cannot logon to my PC because I set user group to deny
logon by mistake. (include Administrator)
I understand ntrights.exe would help to remove the
interactive Logon Right.
When I tried with another W2K professional client, I get
Open Policy error 1073610729
I have two sets of W2K professional using standalone at
home. Cannot access remotely.
Thank you

Is the computer having troubles part of a domain or a workgroup? It was
unclear to me in your message below.

Hi, thanks for the response.

I think it's a part of workgroup problem.
In the C drive, I have two sets of W2K sitting right now
and I want to access to the original one. Is there a way
to replace Secedit.sdb (I think that's wat I have to do)
from the same computer? Or how do I run ntrights.exe to
reset logonright?
Thanks.

It seems that you can access the drive via another install of some sort.

You can try to delete the secedit.sdb (I would just move it) and see what
happens.

You are probably better off popping open the file:
C:\windows\security\templates\policies\tmpgptfl.inf

Remove the deny entry for Interactive Logon or whatever it was you specified
in there and you should be able to get back in.

You may have to remove the entry and delete or remove the secedit.sdb, but I
would try to just modify the tmpgptfl.inf first.
