My computer was fine last night until I tried to login to
my ISP and then everything when black and I got a message
that the computer willbe shut down and other things
mentioning the motherboard and the set-up. Then my
computer will not stay on. I have Windows XP- how can I
get it to stay on ? Please help!

Thank you so much for your help! I will implement the
suggestions you have given me but- I cannot get the
computer to boot up at all....suggestions?

Step #1

The first thing you should do is immediately enable
Windows XP's built-in Firewall:
1. In Control Panel, double-click Networking and Internet Connections, and
then click Network Connections.
2. Right-click the connection on which you would like to enable ICF, and
then click Properties.
3. On the Advanced tab, click the box to select the option to Protect my
computer or network.

Step #2:

Visit
http://www.dougknox.com/xp/scripts_desc/xp_msblast.htm and
follow
the instructions.
