Please Help - It says contact network administrator

I am trying to add a new network and dial up connection to
my computer at home, I am listed as the administrator on
the account and I have Windows 2000. When I try to add a
connection type to dial up to the internet, it says that I
don't have permission and to contact my network
administrator. Well, I don't have a network administrator
as it is my computer at home. How can I add a new
connection, I can't seem to get around this network
administrator thing!!! Thank you.

Does sound like you have administrator rights to your computer? If not
then just log off and relog on as the administrator.
