PLEASE HELP!!! (Importing files)

I'm new to this and I need help!!! I have my pictures saved on my hard
drive. I'm trying to import some of my pictures to make a photo montage. It
says that I can't import because my pictures are corrupted. What can I do?
 
Try changing them to bitmap's and see if that works. They could of course be
corrupted, in which case you'd need to remove them and start again. Also,
have a look at photostory 3, available free from M/S, which is designed for
doing slide shows, whereas MM is really for video.
