His profile is configured using exchange server (MAPI) which is not on
cache
mode. Mails are automatically downloaded in his pst file. Those mails are
now
on his personal folder. We dont have OWA.

Pardon my jumping in....
In Rippjack29 <
[email protected]> typed:
He's PC is connected via LAN.
But what's in his profile? Neo was asking whether he connects via IMAP,
or
whether he opens the mailbox directly (MAPI).
Is he using cached mode?
Have you created another mail profile to test, without cached mode?
Have you tried opening the mailbox in OWA (presuming you've installed
OWA)?
There is no other configuration
changed. All he want is to delete all those crossed out mails.
clicking one of those mails gives us the message, there's nothing we
can do about it. Even by just clicking to open, deleting or even
moving is impossible to do. Help!

I would verify that the client is connecting to the Exchange 5.5
server via the Microsoft Exchange transport rather than by IMAP.
The reason that I say this is that Outlook 2003 in cached mode
against an Exchange 5.5 server shouldn't allow for a header only
download which is what the reading pane message is indicating.
If my suspicion is right that the client is connecting via IMAP, a
cross out makes sense since that is Outlook shows items that are
ready to be deleted. See if there is a purge messages under the Edit
menu and then work with the client in getting them transferred over
to using the Microsoft Exchange transport.
I have a client that has many items in his mailbox that he cannot
delete. The
mails are all crossed out. This is my first time to encounter such
problem.
We are still on Exchange 5.5 but my client are on Outlook 2003.
Everytime we click one item the preview pane displays this message
"This item cannot be displayed in the Reading Pane. This item has
not been received
from the server"
Please help i dont know what to do!!!
