please help!!! Add/remove programs

I need to uninstall an annoying software. I can't seem to do it with vista.
With XP, I could just go to the control panel and than add/remove programs.
But with Vista, the closest thing I can see on there is Add hardware. I'm
sure it's not as hard as I'm making it out to be, I would really appreciate
it if someone would help me out!! Thanks!
 
Go to Control Panel, Programs and features and the uninstall should be
there.

Control Panel > classic view > Programs and Features. Scroll to find
the program, right click, click Uninstall.

Or even better, with Control Panel NOT in classic view, "Uninstall a
program" is in plain view, under the 'Programs' heading!

Problem is that many programs are NOT LISTED and therefore cannot be deleted, for example AOL came pre installed on my computer....I can see the properties, I can see it in the program files under many headings.......but HOW do I REMOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!
