I've changed my OS from win 2000 to XP, but now one of
tthe hard drive is not accessable. The disk manger shows
it and reaad it as a Dynamic drive, the only action it
provide is to change it into a basic drive, but i've got
some important document that i need on it. the drive was
for back up so therefore i did not make a CD copy of the
data. please!!!! help! is there a way i could get the
data?!?!?!?

You don`t say which version of XP (Home or Pro)?
XP Home does not support Dynamic disks only Basic Disks.
If you have XP Home, you need to upgrade to XP Pro!!

What Status does the disk Have? If 'Foreign' then you will have to
remove XP and put 2000 back on to read it again, otherwise you have to
reformat it or use some NTFS4DOS utility to read it (see
http://www.winternals.com/)

More information is available in 'Help and Support',Disk Management,
Disk status descriptions in XP.
