playng movie files

The problem seems strange to me. My digital camera
records video clips in Quicktime format, which I have to
convert to something Movie Maker can use, and Media
Player can play. The conversion doesn't seem to be the
problem. I can use any conversion program, RAD, LEAD, or
STOIK, and convert the Quicktime files to AVI files. I
have even recently found out that I don't even have to
convert them. If I simply rename the extension to MPG, I
can import them directly into Media Player or MM2, and
all the files play just fine on my machine. The problem
seems to be when I use MM2 to make the clips into a movie
file. It doesn't matter what codec I use when I am
originally converting the files, or if I have just
renamed the extension, MM2 imports them, makes the movie
and they play fine on my machine. However, they won't
play on anyone else's computer. On other computers, they
will play an image, usually at the appropriate speed, but
the colours are all wacky. I have tried them on a number
of computers, all with the same version of Windows XP,
Media Player, and MM2 that I am using. The clips will not
play properly on other machines, but they play fine on
mine.

I could sure use some help here. MM2 seems to be a good
program, but I just cannot make it work.

I've had the same problem. I've looked several places,
including here for help or suggestions. I've recieved
neither as of yet....and I'm unaware of any type of
support for WMM as of this date. Shame....with a little
assistance it could be a great tool.
