Are you using the PowerPoint 2003 Viewer - this new version supports a
different kind of presentation playlists - you can try renaming your lst
extension to txt and try using it again.

Those instructions are for playing a playlist with the PPT Viewer, not
from within a web browser.

Re the LST file and the Viewer -- there are two different PPT Viewers,
and the LST file is a little different for each of them.
http://www.echosvoice.com/autoruncd.htm has more info on the two Viewers
and their LST files.

The help files say to double-click PPTView.exe and then:

If you have set timings for the presentations and want to use them,
select the Using Timings, if present option under Advance slides.

In the Files of type box, click Playlists in the list, click the
playlist file, and then click Show.

But you're right -- I can't seem to open a playlist from here this
morning using those instructions. I'd say those are not right or are
missing a step.

At any rate, I don't know that all this is going to matter in a web
browser. So can you tell us what your ultimate goal is? Maybe we can go
from there.

Is there a way to create a play list of PPT files and have them playing in a
web browser?

Cheers steve W

I am using PowerPoint 2002.
The help file says save a text file with the list in it.
then save as a .lst file and open in the viewer.
The viewer does not recognize the format.
If I open the .lst in PPT it says multiple presentations are not supported
please read the help file.

Any help please
