I am using Powerpoint 2007 but saving it in the 97-03 format so that I can
package it for CD. I created a .wpl file in WMP with 5 songs in it. I
inserted the wpl into the third slide and it starts and runs automatically
just like I want. The problem is that I can't get it to repeat. I tell it to
stop after 80 slides on the Effect tab (there are only 75 in the show) and on
the Timing tab I set it to repeat 3 times. It plays the 5 songs and stops
every time. Is it because it is a wpl instead of a single mp3 or wav file? Is
there any way to get music to play for as long as the show it running?

It might be because when you use the package for CD Option you use the
Viewer to play your presentation and not PowerPoint. BTW, you do not heed to
save your presentation in the 97-03 format to use the package for CD Option.

I would combine all the songs into one song, Put the new sound file into the
same folder as your presentation before inserting it into PowerPoint. Use
the package to CD option selecting the Copy to Folder option. Then use your
CD burning software to make your CD.

Thank you for your reply. I guess I should have mentioned that when running
the show before packaging it for CD I have the same problem. I thought of the
solution last night though. I can edit the .wpl file and list the songs in
there as many times as I like. That way they will loop continuously for the
duration of the show.

If you combine your songs, you need only insert it once, and have it loop
continuously. I have not played with a play list file (WPL), so I don't know
how it would work.

I am not sure what you mean by combining songs. Would I use some software to
stitch them together end to end?
