Playing video in PPT, Icon appears in upper right corner

When playing a video in Powerpoint 2000, I get a Block
shaped icon (made up of 9 smaller blocks) visible over
the video in the upper right corner of the screen. Is
there any way to get rid of it?

It sounds like you're using a demo version of the Elecard decoder to play
MPEGs.
To remove the logo you'd have to uninstall it or buy the full version.
