Chuck

I'm trying to help a consultant put together a
presentation in powerpoint and he wants to use a few
animations. I have one animation that is 3 minutes long
and is 852x480 - it plays but just barely. It's all
choppy and skips throughout the entire animation - I've
tried playing it a few times to see if I could cache the
whole thing in but no luck.

He also has some wmv files he got from another
consultant. He can import them but they just show up as
a black box. Any thoughts? Any and all help would be
much appreciated.

Chuck,

852x480......what data rate? or frames per second.... the choppy effect could be the computer can't keep up reading the
data / processing it / then displaying the video.

Cean out c:\windows\temp
Try a defrag
Give powerpoint less to do...What's happening on the very next slide/event? Keep it simple.
Does the video clip have audio?

Can you convert the video clip to MPEG1?

Cheers
