After completing the cd/dvd, when trying to play on my tv, my player says
that the format is not supported. How can I change the formatting of the cd
so that it will be supported.

A CD and a DVD are not the same...which
one did you create? And...how did you create it?

What did you burn on the disk? Did you save in
the .avi or .wmv movie format or did you burn the
..mswmm project file on the disk?

John,
i was using window movie maker and I saved it to my computer, then I saved
it onto a cd and a dvd and both didn't work. I don't know what format it
was, it was what ever the computer automatically does.

Burning a video file onto a CD or DVD
creates a simple Data Disk. If you want
a self launching Video CD or Video DVD
you need to use DVD Authoring software.

Examples are Nero, Roxio, ULead, WinDVD
Creator...etc...
