Hi,
I have put together a Power Point Presentation with all the pictures I
took from our Red Had Ladies Group together with music playing while the
pictures are being shown.

I have attached the video cable to the TV and I see the pictures
displaying one at a time but I don't hear the music coming out of the
TV. It is only coming out of the Dell Laptop speaker. I have a Dell
Inspiron 8200 laptop and I don't understand what else I need to attach
to the TV.

Can anyone help? Thank you.

Jean

The sound won't carry through the video cable to your TV. If you want sound,
you will need a separate cable that plugs into your headphone jack on the
laptop. The other end will have a RCA jack on it. You can find these easily
at RadioShack, Wal-Mart, etc. Cost should only be a few dollars.

Most newer TV's have three connections for Audio/Video setup. If this is the
case, you can also buy a splitter, which allows you to plug in one RCA jack
and turn it into two RCA jacks. While this does give a bit better sound, in
essence it won't be true stereo sound.

Hope this helps,

Dear Don,

Thanks so much for your fast reply as I needed to get my problem
resolved by lunch today as I was supposed to show the presentation.

My husband went over to Radio Shack and bought the adapter you suggested
and it worked perfectly when we plugged it into the TV.

All the ladies enjoyed the show.

Thanks again.

Jean
