I want to play an MP3 while a slideshow loops through 3 introductory slides.
The loop continues until the presenter clicks on an action button to move to
the 4th slide at which point I want the music to fade. Can this be done.

The ppt is currently set up with 5 slides, the first 3 loop, the last two
are hidden.

I think you're going to need to put the slides in different slide shows.
Have the first one loop and the action button will open the second. The
audience won't know the difference. For more help, check out the PowerPoint

This sounds interesting, I believe the linking / loop will work but how are
you going to get the music to fade? We know PPT cannot edit sound, but even
if we add a fade with audacity how do we time it right to when we start the
other slides? Could this be done with VBA?
