I made a movie and saved it to CDRW and it plays back fine on the monitor with Media player, but if I put it in my DVD/CD player which says it plays CDRW's it won't play. It just says no audio data. Can someone tell me what is wrong?

Hi there,

Yes, probably anyway. CDRW is a device for storing data on...its the
disk. So your home DVD player can handle CDRW disks...but the question is,
what is on the disk??? You need to determine whether or not your Home DVD
player can handle VCD (Video on a CD) if it can then you need to acquire
software suitable for creating VCD on a CDRW. Your alternative is to buy a
DVD writer for your computer and create DVD's instead.

There is another alternative....go buy one of the new DVD machines that
may now be available. They can handle the High Mat format which is the
format used by Movie Maker. I am told that Video High Mat machines are now
coming on to the market....but you can buy a DVD writer for around the same
price....you will then have a much greater set of options...Amongst the
obvious uses of a DVD writer is that I use mine for long term backups of my
system....you can get an awful lot onto such a disk and because you do not
have to sit waiting to change a CDRW disk every few minutes its also a lot
less hassle.

Because of the new HD (High Definition) format that Microsoft is using
as its lever into the home video market and because a HD movie can be up to
7 times better in quality against a DVD (That's hard to imagine) it seems
obvious that it will eventually it will become a standard. HD files are
saved as WMV files...the same that High Mat uses.

Hope this helps a little.

The HighMAT players out now are still audio/pictures only. The video ones
are not available yet.

Hi there,

Incorrect, KISS are releasing the video version right now.... $299.00 I
understand As High Mat has no Regional Codes, as far as I understand.
Purchasing one from anywhere for the purposes of playing High Mat video
alone is not a problem.
