Playing Games OR YouTube PC Shutsdown

We have narrowed it down to if we are playing a very graphical game, the computer will shut down, by itself. OR if we are playing a playlist on YouTube, Shut down, please help. Should we replace our is a Video Card???? How can I troubleshoot?

just a guess but perhaps its a heat related problem? not cool enough so the systems shuts down to protect itself.
