playing DV encoded avi's within ppt

Heard a rumor that ppt03 for wintel will "insert" an avi
file encoded with the DV codec and play the file within
ppt.
After much searching I cannot find a definitive answer.
Anyone know the "truth"?
 
Hi Terry
In the first instance try renaming your DV AVI as *.mpg. It works for me
even in PowerPoint 97.
