Hope someone can help, I have no problem copying photos
on to a cd useing the XP copy to disc but I cannot get
the cd to work on a dvd player. But I have a disc done by
a member of my family useing XP copy to disc on there
laptop and it plays on my dvd what am I doing wrong
please help.

One possibility is the size of your files in comparison with the size of the
files of the member of your family.
When early DVD players capable of displaying JPEG photo files came out they
had an upper limit of 1.0 MB per file. Check your DVD manual to see if you
have this limitation.

Thanks for the help Yves Alarie, but all my files are
less than 1.0 MB the largest is 750 KB so there must be
another problem.

Since you did not mention the format...
I'm just wondering if your files are .jpgs?

What type of camera created these files?

Exactrly what type of CD was made? I have 3 DVD players but older ones.
One of them will only show photos that are saved to a CD in VideoCD
format. Another one will show photos that are simply saved as jpg files
to a CD or a Kodak picture CD but won't play the VideoCD. The third one
won't show photos at all--it only plays DVD's and music CD's. Check
your DVD instruction booklet to see exactly what it's supposed to play.
