Playing audio files in powerpoint

Is there any way of embedding the audio files I use for my presentation? I
have recently found out that if I move my sounds folder then some of the
sounds in my presentation disappear. I have more than one sound being used
per slide of a 268 slide presentation. It appears that only the larger sized
sounds (10mb etc) get lost. I also note there is an option to link sounds
greater than... and it was set to 100kb what does this mean? What will
happen if I change this to the maximum of 50000kb?
