Bryan

I have a big problem. I have prepared a lengthy
presentation for one of my classes in Junior High. I
created the presentation, at home, using Microsoft
PowerPoint XP prefessional, but every single computer in
the school uses the 98 version of PowerPoint on Windows
XP computers. My presentation contains well over 200
animations that are compatible only with Windows XP
PowerPoint and at least 400 timings that do not trigger
or carry-out propery in PowerPoint 98. I cannot simply
remove all of the timings and animations and click
through the presenation, as it is supposed to me
completely automated and self-running. It also happens
to be on a very touchy subject, Aushwitz, and the
timings, animations and sound are essential in creating
the desired sad effect. Please reply as soon as you get
the chance, all comments are welcomed, I may not get
around to finding or checking this group again so please
forward all messages to my email, (e-mail address removed)

Thanx and Happy New Year,
Bryan

Hi Bryan,

a solution could be to use the new PowerPoint 2003 viewer, which you can
download free from Microsoft's website:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...FamilyID=428D5727-43AB-4F24-90B7-A94784AF71A4

This will display all animations of PowerPoint XP, but
- no macros
- no linked objects (e.g. videos, sound)
- no animated diagrams

Timing is independend of version, but depends on the speed of the computer
used, you'll have to check that on the machines in school.

And, sorry, this message is only posted to the newsgroup, not sent out via
e-mail, so that others may use it too. Hope you return here to read it.

Kind regards,
Ute
