I have made a presentation on my win 98 computer using
office 97. The power point version is 97. When I play it
on a computer that has 2000 or Windows XP The presentation
changes. The fonts change, the slide timings change, It
also changes the colour of my background. Any Ideas.

Kim,

Fonts changing.....Common problem, the fonts you used are probably not on
the other PC, if you click the text and select the font (does a TT symbol
appear next to the font name?).

Slide timings will change from computer to computer, this is a known problem
with powerpoint

Background colors changing....now that's a new one, please can you explain
some more....do they change slightly...like from one shade or red to another
shade of red....or do they disappear completely?

Cheers

Fonts are dependent on the fonts installed on the system. You probably want
to embed the fonts in your presentation if you're going to transport it.
See:

Timing will change based on resources available. If there is anti-virus
software running and/or several other applications loaded, it can slow
things down. On the other hand, if the other system has more memory, faster
processor, and faster disks, it might run faster.

The color of the background might change if the two systems have different
display settings. On each go to Start > Run > Settings > Control Panel >
Display and check the settings to see what the color settings are (256,
24bit, 32bit).
