Is there any way to play a European CD (in this case a
book on CD) on XP? I can't get it to play on anything.

Hi,

It might be possible to watch it by changing your DVD Regional
settings, however I don't recommend that since you can only
change those settings a limited time (for mine it's 4 times max).

To change the Regional Settings to that of the Country your CD
or DVD originated from, Click Start / Control Panel / System /
Device Manager / + Expand the DVD/CD-ROM drives choice/
right click your player / choose Properties / click the DVD region
Tab / READ THE WARNING / READ THE WARNING again,
and then change the regional setting as instructed. Good luck! :-)

There are various "programs" out there, that allow this DVD region to be reset <smile>

U have to watch the change as U described below, as changing from US to European and then
back to US = TWO changes, so the 4 goes happen real fast!

Yes but all European discs are region 2 anyway!. Perhaps he has an Ebook on
CD so needs an ebook reader!
