I have a 120-second mpeg movie of slide show on one of slides. It plays it
correctly except it stops at the last 3 photos. Is there any restrction of
the length of mpeg movie for each slide? In addition, how can I display the
first photo of the slide show instead a black blank screen.

Thanks,

Scott

Scott,

I suspect the mpg file you have does not meet the set standard for it. Here
is a tutorial I put together that should be of help getting it sorted out.
Or, if you just want to solve it you can try the trial versions of PFCMedia
or PFCPro. (If you use the trial and later remove it, your presentations
will continue to work.)

Austin,

Thanks for your advice. I have tried playing back the mpeg file using
mplay32.exe and it works fine. I notice that the film is 1 minute 17
seconds long from the time scale. However the scale is incorrect as the
scale stops but the movie was still running. In powerpoint, once the time
scale stops, the movie stops too. Any idea to fix it?

Thanks and regards,

Scott

Sounds like something in the file itself is not compatible with the MCI
player. You might consider giving PFCMedia or PFCPro a try. They come with
a two week trial so it won't cost a thing.
