plan to upgrade mobo/cpu/mem with XP pro

I plan to upgrade my motherboard, processor, and memory. Does anyone have
suggestions on research I can do before I take the plunge? Thanks.
 
Sorry, I might not have been clear -- I am upgrading my hardware and I would
like to continue running XP Pro that I have installed now. Thanks. Again.
