We use a report as a form letter that we print hundreds of copies per month to subscribers of our service. We are looking into using a postal bar code in the salutation of the letter to take advantage of discounted postal rates for first class pre-sorted mail. Does anyone know how to do that
We greatly appreciate it.

The easiest way to do it is to use Access in conjunction with MS Word.
Create a mail merge document in Word using an envelope template and add the
postal code to the template. Then merge in the Addresses from Access sorted
in zip order.

In addition to Steve's good advice, be sure to get a barcode font that is
approved by the Post Office. The commercial ones are not all that
expensive -- far less so than getting a shareware font that turned out not
to be acceptable, and then having to find a good one, as an acquaintance of
mine discovered.
