Placement of "boxes" on monitor

When I open outlook express, there is a bos that appears briefly before the
sign in and it is way off to the right instead of centered in the screen.

I've tried to grab it and move it, but it is too fast.

Is there a setting or something that I can access to get all of these boxes
to show up in the center of the screen like when the PC was first used?

Thanks but that didn't do it.

I believe the screen says "Connecting to...." Outlook Express I presume,
since I'm already on the internet.

I don't know. Obviously my wife or I moved it inadvertently, but I can't
get it back.

If you or anyone else have any thought, I'd appreciate it. It isn't a real
big deal, but just kind of irritates me as I like things to be as they should
be.

disconnect the cable or wireless connection so it wont flash off so soon..
it will stay on the screen longer
so you can catch it

didn't slow it down at all...

Do you mean Outlook Express, or Outlook? If OE, have a look in Tools >
Options for its settings to check for mail on startup & disable that
temporarily. If that works, you should be able to "manually" bring up the
box at will and perhaps have time to drag it.

Or you could try taking a screenshot with the PrintScreen key at the moment
it appears on-screen - paste into Wordpad or similar to see exactly what it
is. If not enough time, try a video recording screen capture tool when you
fire up OE (shareware or trial period would do if there's no freeware out
there), and freeze-frame in the playback. (But overkill, but given it's
bothering you that much, it's a thought!) If you can suss out *what* the box
says, you're a step closer to controlling it.
